Kerdic is an award-winning family-owned, Property development and building company. The name Kerdic is a tribute to our grandfathers Robert Kerr and Donald Dickson. The Dickson family had a vision to create architectural, sustainable and luxurious houses and from this Kerdic was created.

Maintaining consistent standards of excellence over a long period must be more than an aspiration. It must be deeply embedded in an organisation’s culture – a passion shared not only by the company’s management and employees, but also by its suppliers, sub-contractors, and service providers.

Throughout our 33 years of existence, this passion for excellence has been evident in every aspect of our work. It has been recognised in the many industry awards we have received for our homes and developments and is the recognised hallmark of every one of our projects.

While we joyfully celebrate our history and proudly build on our legacy, we maintain a keen eye on the future, regarding each new project as an opportunity to embrace innovation and showcase our extensive capabilities.

1988-2000

We spent a number of years building stunning homes for Defense Housing in Queensland, Australia. Maintaining a high-safety standard and architecturally beautiful designs our name, KERDIC became a trusted and renowned home building company. 

2001 – 2010

2003 – HIA South East Queensland Housing Award (Display Home) Winner

2005 – HIA Queensland Townhouse / Villa Project of the Year

2007 – HIA Brisbane Housing Awards: Home of the Year Award

2007 – Master Builders: Housing & Construction award: Housing for Sloping sites

JIM DICKSON, MANAGING DIRECTOR

After establishing Kerdic in 1988, Jim immediately set about growing the business which over the years progressed from a local home builder to a developer of master planned communities. Kerdic’s developments now stretch from the Gold Coast to Cairns in far north Queensland as well as interest in international projects.

Kerdic’s success has been brought about largely by Jim’s vision to excel in Kerdic’s various fields of endeavour, whether it be building a home or developing a master planned community. The vision also saw the development of a vertically integrated supply chain that included manufacturing key elements for the home to complement the group’s development and construction activities.

In 2011, in a strategic move that drew upon the capabilities and skills of both Kerdic Homes and Nova Deko, Jim engineered the manufacturing of prefabricated modular homes by Nova Deko. International demand for these homes is growing at a rapid rate.

Jim’s passions are contagious, resulting in a group of companies that firmly share his vision and drive for innovation and excellence. His outside interests include politics and international affairs.

2011 – 2020

The introduction of Modular Construction in KERDIC

Kerdic along with its partner, Novadeko undertook many modular projects ranging from single dwelling homes to multi-level apartment and hotel projects around Australia. With International recognition providing affordable / temporary social housing solutions in Swedan, Hong Kong, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, New Zealand and United Kingdom.

During these years KERDIC undertook many large development projects creating master planned communities across Queensland, Australia.

Various multi-unit projects have also been developed in Brisbane within St Lucia, Toowong, Taringa, Auchenflower & Indooroopilly suburbs. 

2021 – Present

KERDIC has developed as a high-end luxury builder undertaking many beautiful, architecturally driven projects in Queensland. 

We continue to develop our relationships with both local and international partners with focus on providing modular construction for a range of uses from single dwelling to multi-level unit designs.  Our scope of work covers social housing, mining accommodation, hotels, schools and temporary housing solutions.
