Steps to Ownership

They’re 2 methods of obtaining a modular home from Kerdic. The first one is our Kerdic Purchase/Installation Process which is only available within the greater Brisbane region. If you’re outside this area or would prefer to install it yourself in Brisbane, please read the Self Purchase/Installation Process.

Kerdic Purchase/Installation Process

Design Selection

Client selects the design and discusses requirements with a Kerdic representative.

Preliminary Works Agreement

Client enters into a Preliminary Works Agreement with Kedric and pays a $1,200 non-refundable deposit (to cover cost of soil test, survey, drainage plan and site inspection),

Finalise Requirements

Client finalises the overall requirements

Fixed Price Determined

Kerdic determines fixed price based on client requirements and preliminary works.

Contract and Deposit

Client enters into a building contract with Kerdic and pays the required deposit 20%

Proof of Finance

Client arranges finance and provides proof of finance to Kerdic

Installation

Kerdic undertakes supply, delivery and installation together with any ancillary works

Possession

Client takes possession of new home

Self Purchase/Installation Process

Client selects the design and discusses requirements with a Kerdic representative.

Client finalises the overall requirements.

Local Council

Client talks to local council about proposed purchase and installation site of planned modular tiny home.

Fixed Price Determined

Kerdic determines fixed price based on shipping model.

Contract and Deposit

New standard & discounted available models are secured with a 20% non-refundable deposit. If in stock in Brisbane, full payment is required prior to leaving the holding yard. For the latest new build available models, once finished at the factory prior to shipping a further 30% is due. Once delivered to an unrestricted holding yard outside of the port, the balance of 50% is due after inspection. After full payment, ownership has been transferred.

Installation Method

When deciding on an installation method you can either; utilise a registered builder or obtain a owner builder licence dealing with Council direct or using a building certifier. Kerdic has comprehensive installation guides available.
