Kerdic has a range of discounted stock models available as well as standard models. They are discounted primarily because they are residual slightly older stock built for continuity of work purposes, for the factory between larger commercial multiple orders. They are built to pass the Australian National building code, Australian Electrical code and the Australian Plumbing code only. Kerdic doesn’t produce new models every year but our models are consistently evolving. For example, our current discounted stock needs to be installed 600mm off the ground, this is for the plumbing wastes to have sufficient fall and also the necessity of access that comes with it.

 

For all the standard/normal priced models the waste plumbing pipes are contained within the floor of the modular, so you don’t have to allow for waste pipe fall or access underneath. This allows for stacking the modular one on top of the other for unit type complexes and close to ground level habitation. We recommend a minimum distance of 300mm from the ground to the bottom of the rail when inhabiting a Kerdic Modular Tiny Home.  Please see the Transport & Installation page for more information.

• Frame – purpose-built container carcasses with heavy duty steel framing, joists and bearers.
• Insulation – Closed cell polyurethane sprayed onto inside walls (R1.5) and Rockwool fibreglass batts installed in framing (R2.5).
• Windows & Glass Doors – double glazed glass (5mm).
• Internal Walls – 12mm Drywall plasterboard; FC sheeting to wet areas.
• Flooring – compressed FC sheeting with floating vinyl covering; tiles to wet areas.
• Kitchen – gloss 2-pac, melamine or veneer finish (depending upon design) to all cabinetry; reconstituted quartz stone benchtops; quality appliances (oven and cooktop).
