Our primary mission is to cultivate a sense of community across all housing densities, from low to high density, fostering environments where neighbours know one another. We envision pocket villages, apartments, and estates featuring common areas for play, gathering, and social interaction, effectively eliminating isolation while promoting connectivity and a more sustainable way to live.
With 30 years of experience as a builder and developer, we aim to expand our modular presence in Australia and international markets, including Hong Kong, the UK, New Zealand, Europe, and Scandinavia.
Our aim is to develop affordable, sustainable, and architecturally designed living solutions that align with our Western design and construction philosophy. Our team can work in a variety of ways, if you have a project in mind – enquire with us and we will endeavour to get back to you!

2. CUSTOM JOINERY

In 2005, Jim identified a crucial need in the construction industry for affordable, innovative, and sustainable housing solutions. Recognising China as a strategic hub for building materials, he embarked on establishing a modular housing manufacturing facility, overcoming opposition and skepticism. Jim pursued his vision by forming a partnership with a local Chinese manufacturing facility.
To test the waters of working in China, rather than starting with full completed modular homes we produced bathroom vanities & kitchens to gain an understanding & experience running a business within China.
As a wholesaler, the company swiftly became one of the largest exporters of vanities in China and emerged as a major player in supplying vanities to the US and Australia.
Today, KERDIC helps to oversea and run it’s Australian Brand, Vanity By Design. Having such experience in the joinery industry has been fundamental to the adoption of our modular homes. All our homes are designed, installed and completed with beautiful joinery throughout.
3. MODULAR HOMES

Since establishing our factory in 2005, KERDIC has built many modular homes throughout Australia from class 1a dwellings to secondary dwellings. Due to the nature of construction, our homes are a great solution for difficult sites as they can be positioned on stumps for sloping hills or elevated to mitigate flood risk.
The cost and time saving for modular homes is becoming an increasingly attractive option for many buyers. We strive to design and deliver our homes to surpass people’s expectation of a pre-built home, with stunning finishes and architectural façade options.
If you would like to enquire about a modular home, please get in contact with us and we will assist you in finding the best solution for your site.
4. MODULAR APARMENTS

KERDIC along with it’s partners have delivered many multi-level modular apartments across the world. Most notably our local project in Everton Park, 2017 which was Brisbane’s first modular apartment complex.
Our experience and past projects have been typically 4-5 level apartment complexes which demonstrate the capabilities of modular construction and the efficiency of developing such projects due to the repetitive nature of apartment buildings.
2024 & 2025 – Pioneering in MIC construction, KERDIC has dedicated significant effort to develop a solution ideal for high-rise developments. (20-40 Levels)
5. STUDENT & WORKERS ACCOMMODATION

We have completed projects for Mining camps in Australia and Student accommodation complexes in Sweden & Denmark.
Modular construction works well for these industries as the flexibility of having a transitional product can be beneficial to allow the building to be relocated to a new site if needed.
6. SCHOOLS & OFFICES

Due to the time efficiencies, modular classrooms & offices are a great option that can be installed permanently or temporarily.
6. WEDDING & HOLIDAY RETREATS

Modular units are the perfect choice for additional accommodation as they can be installed on various sites.
Our modular accommodation has been installed for a holiday retreat in Georgia, Eastern Europe (That experiences snow). We are capable to design to any climate and ensure the units are designed to best accommodate the site and it’s surroundings.
6. SOCIAL HOUSING & TEMPORARY HOUSING

Due to the current housing crisis world-wide, Governments and clients from around the world are turning to Modular as a solution to get more people in homes quickly and choosing affordable & sustainable options which can include building temporarily on un-used government land.
-Hong Kong’s first transitional Modular project was built in Nam Cheong. (2019) The project has now been dismantled & relocated to Tai Po New Territories (2023).
-Kam Tin, 1032 apartments
-Kowloon, 500 apartments
Both Kam Tin and Kowloon projects were completed by our team in under 12 months of production. This included design phase, proto-typing, manufacture and delivery to site. Our Brisbane construction team played a role in guiding local trades on installation.
